Porcelain Veneers

When it comes to finding a solution to your cosmetic dental concerns that can provide natural looking, durable and highly customizable results, porcelain veneers can be the perfect solution. Made from an ultra-thin, high-quality ceramic material, this type of dental veneer can address a wide range of problems or aesthetic concerns with either subtle or dramatic results.

Porcelain veneers

Dr. Aaron Schamback is an AACD dentist and offers our patients the benefits of advanced training, experience and a team-oriented approach to their needs and goals. This serves as a foundation for the best possible outcome and dentistry that is personalized for your oral health.

Porcelain veneers can be used to change the color and shape of one or more teeth and can also close gaps between teeth. As a more permanent alternative to tooth bonding, dental veneers can address chipped teeth, cracked teeth and other types of damage impacting the appearance of your smile. Dr. Schamback and the dental team of Great Smile Dental will thoroughly evaluate all aspects of your dental health to identify and treat any underlying dental problems, including bite problems, that could affect the longevity of your result.

PORCELAIN VENEERS

WHAT TO EXPECT:  The porcelain process will require 2-3 visits for the best result. The first step is to discuss your cosmetic goals and to perform a dental exam for a thorough evaluation of your oral health. Once a treatment plan has been decided upon, the teeth will be prepared by carefully removing enough surface structure for secure placement of the final veneers.

Digital impressions will be taken before temporary veneers are attached while your custom restorations are being made in our dental lab. Our dentists can work directly with our on-site lab technicians and ceramists to ensure that your final result will meet your expectations.

The final visit will include the fitting and placement of the new porcelain veneers. Before permanently attaching the veneers your dentist will work with you to customize a comfortable and natural fit.

The veneer surface will be polished and our team will educate you on how to take care of your new smile for a lasting outcome. The material used is highly durable and stain resistant when compared to natural tooth enamel and bonding alternatives, but avoiding darker beverages and maintaining a good oral hygiene routine will support your best smile for as long as possible.
